St. Monica's Children's Home (CYCC)
St. Monica’s Children’s Home (CYCC) is a non-profit, non- governmental organisation that provides residential care to 84 vulnerable children who have been orphaned, abandoned, or found to be at risk in their home environment. We are located on Treasure Beach in the Durban area and accommodate children from rural and semirural areas throughout Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Our children range in age from 3 to 18 and come from various religions, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds. Every child placed with us receives an outside formal education as well as additional classes as needed to help them advance academically. The children also receive counselling from our social worker, who determines each child's developmental requirements and creates an action plan with regular input from the childcare workers.
