learn moreSt. Monica’s Children’s Home (CYCC) is a non-profit, non- governmental organisation that provides residential care to 84 vulnerable children who have been orphaned, abandoned, or found to be at risk in their home environment. We are located on Treasure Beach in the Durban area and accommodate children from rural and semirural areas throughout Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Our children range in age from 3 to 18 and come from various religions, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds. Every child placed with us receives an outside formal education as well as additional classes as needed to help them advance academically. The children also receive counselling from our social worker, who determines each child's developmental requirements and creates an action plan with regular input from the childcare workers.
We endeavour to provide a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable children of all races, faiths, and backgrounds to empower them as valuable members of society.
Our Home exists to provide a loving and safe environment for the children in our care through developmental programmes, education, health care and social interaction.
We conduct our activities in partnership with religious organisations, government, businesses, foundations, and community stakeholders.
Donate to our Home on a regular basis and benefit from tax deductions.
